 LENTEN PROGRAM:          “Courageous Faith”
This year’s theme will draw on the life experiences of our speakers as they discuss their lives and how God’s grace has been with them. Every one of us experiences the thunderstorms of everyday life. What can we learn from our friends that may help us during these stormy times?
This year’s Lenten speakers are a collection of new and old friends. Each one will talk and share about how Christ has been present through their own everyday challenges. has Christ been with our friends during these crisis moments? their everyday lives. Every one of us experiences our various challenges.

This is one of Trinity’s key yearly events. If you are new or haven’t been able to attend, please join us.
What can you bring?  Bring a dish to pass (minus dessert) such as: main dish casserole, salad, or a vegetable. Beverages, bread, and place settings are provided.

And… the fellowship is great !

The evening begins at 6:00 PM. Dinner will ordinarily begin at 6:10 PM. If you cannot make it to dinner, but would like to hear the speaker, come at 7:00. The evening closes at 7:45 PM with Compline. The first speaker in our "Courageous Faith" series is Patricia Williams.  Patricia, a speaker at the Spiritual Life Center, will discuss her life with M.S. and the healing Christ graced her with.  This is a powerful testimony.

Healing and Prayer and Special Services

On Wednesday mornings throughout the year, a communion and healing service is held at 10 am. On Wednesday evening, a Prayer Session is held. The public is invited to these sessions. Trinity has a trained lay person Healing Team to pray and "lay on hands" for healing. Healing sessions are also held after service every Sunday.

ASH WEDNESDAY
Our Lenten journey begins with the celebration of Ash Wednesday on February 22th. You are invited to begin the Lenten season by worshipping with the Trinity community at either the 10:00 AM or 7:00 PM Holy Eucharist, with the imposition of ashes.

Stations of the Cross  will begin on Friday night, March 2nd. Stations begins at 5:30 PM. This devotional service is held weekly during Lent. On Holy Week, the devotion is led every day of the week minus Maundy Thursday. The Stations of the Cross are a devotion recalling 14 incidents that mark the condemnation, crucifixion, death and burial of Jesus. The service consists of passing from station to station and meditating on each occurrence through prayer and reflection. This devotion is a good Lenten discipline as we walk with Jesus, meditate on His passion, and allow Him to be part of our own daily struggles.

  Women of Trinity

The Women of Trinity has a long history of supporting the Priest, the Wardens, and the Vestry of our church in all ways.  We meet on the first Tuesday of every month from September through June and plan and create ways to invite people into our parish and ways to assist the Vestry in increasing church funds.  Some events are the annual Harvest Fair, Roast Beef  dinners and the Pancake Supper held on Shrove Tuesday each year.  All women in the Parish are automatically members of the Women of Trinity and are invited to attend our meetings, to take part in all activities, and to enjoy the fellowship.

The choir sings during Sunday services and special services, with a break during the summer months. Casual practice sessions are held every Tuesday night from 5:30 - 7pm. On the first Tuesday, the time is 5 pm. The Choir Director and Organist, Nancy Beatty, chooses music from contemporary and traditional sources to provide a wide range of styles and texts. New choir members are always welcome. For beginners, the choir has started a basic music booklet which provides simple guidelines on reading and understanding musical scores. Soloists and instrumentalists are always welcome to bring their own music and instruments for inclusion in the Sunday morning services.
